Do you love it? We do and so does this beauty, Ru. She bought this t-shirt from our Curvy Girl Gear Online store recently, but the collar out and made it all nice and sassy! Then, gasp, she wore it to a local grocery store to do her shopping. While she was at the store, the manager (who was rolling her eyes the entire time) said that some other shoppers found it offensive and politely asked her not to wear it on future shopping trips. INCREDIBLE! Of, course, you can see she is REAL bothered by this non-sense. BUY ONE HERE
But, lets flip the switch. I wonder what would happen if a very thin person wore a t-shirt with a cartoon of a very thin cartoon-ish character that said “Nothing Tastes as Good as Being Thin” or “Fit-spo” or “What You Eat in Private, You Wear in Public.” I am not making this shit up, either. I see these t-shirts all of the time. How about the one that says “Having abs because your are skinny if like having boobs if you’re fat.” When your grocery store is next to a gym (like mine) you see that offensive bullshit. I’ve never complained, though. I believe “your body, your rules. My body, my rules” so wear whatever you want. But, it does make me wonder if possibly these people who complained about her t-shirt might suffer from a wee bit (well a lot of) FAT PHOBIA!
We have lots more t-shirts. “Carbs for Life.” “Rad Fatty.” “Fat Is Not An Insult.” “Kiss the Fattest Part of My Fat Ass” and on and on. Click here to see them all.
I am going to include a bunch ore of the images on our Curvy Girl Logo Store:
