I am so grateful to so many of you who have been helping me out with my Electrology College tuition! I have the most generous family, community and friends. I am so grateful to all of you. TRULY you all make my heart so full.
Those of you who know me intimately know that my birthday is the 13th and my sister’s birthday was the 14th. We were born 2 years and 1 day apart.
Sadly, my sister passed away 11 years ago. She was 37 when she passed away. I miss her every day of my life…. we were very close. My sister’s name was Connie, but we called her Thumper, like Thumper the Rabbit from Bambi. Thump was named after my Aunt “Nonnie” Connie who took care of us a lot when we were babies. My Nonnie was my second Mom when we were growing up. My sister had a lot to deal with in her lifetime. She had lots of stuff going on, but the main thing is bipolar 2 and schizo-effective disorder.
So, my birthday is always complicated for me. We shared our birthdays for years and years. I am to the point in my life where talking about her or remembering her does not make me cry instantly – but I cannot say the same thing for our birthday season. This time of year is happy and sad. I love celebrating my birthday (because the opposite of getting older is not my favorite concept) but, my birthday sometimes makes me a little melancholy.
But, I digress! Today, I am here to ask for some help from my friends, family and community.
I still need about $2,900 to finish paying for school and could use your help if you can spare it. (Or, if you know someone who might want to LEND me $2,900 that would be fantastic!)
If you would like to make a donation to me I am on Venmo at @curvygirl !~ Or, if you would be willing to give me a loan you can also Venmo me at @curvygirl. (I am happy to pay 12% interest and create a promissory note, too. )
If you are local and would like some hair removal once I am all certified and trained, I would be happy to give you 90 minutes on my table for hair removal for a $100 donation. My office will be in Campbell, CA on Campbell Ave!
If you can give me a loan, I can send you my mailing address and we can complete a contract and I can start paying you back in May 2019.

If you would like to know more about my new business and what led me here, check out my blog here about my crowdfunding and my future plans. A career change at the age of 51 …. SO SCARY, but I am so excited and I am so grateful to my bestie, Sarah, for this opportunity. Also so grateful to all of you who always support me in everything I do. I am truly so blessed to have so many amazing humans in my life.
If you prefer to make a donation to NAMI.org – it’s a group that is very near and dear to my family. In the last few years of my sister’s life, we leaned on NAMI a lot to try to figure out how to best help my sister and our family. If your family deals with mental health challenges, you know exactly what I mean. It’s so intense and it can be scary and sad. (National Alliance on Mental Illness.)
This is a pic of my sister, Thumper and her son, Tyler.
Thanks again for all of your love. I really appreciate all of you and your generosity.
Love, Chrystal
