It’s time for us to stop hiding. I know I say that a lot. “Curvy Girls Live Out Loud!” “Curvy Girls Stop Hiding” and on and on and on if you follow my page on Facebook. But, today I read a blog that really inspired me. And they are so right. It was an interview with Fatty-Bad-Ass Virgie Tovar on the Beauty Bean and the author said something that really moved me.
“Love your body. Live a big life regardless of the size of your ass.
Do it for women everywhere.
Love your thighs, so your daughter can love hers one day”

A woman said to me once ” if we treated out children the way we treat ourselves, we would be reported to child protective services.” So true. Curvy Girls it’s time to love yourself NOW – not when you lose 50 lbs or whatever some bullshit magazine suggested. NOW. This second. Stop waiting. Stop hiding. Curvy Girls. If you can’t do it for yourself – do it for your nieces, daughters, your sisters, your co-workers. There is NO wrong way to have a body. All of our bodies are perfect. Show off your body. Flaunt your curves if you got em. We’ve all seen all of the memes on Facebook and Instagram. Stop hiding. Smile all nice and pretty and show off your big butt, your flabby arms – it’s all ok. It’s all beautiful. Your body works. That is all you need to know.
Stop hiding Curvy Girls. Let’s stop taking pics that do not show our entire body. Start wearing lingerie in your bedroom with the lights on. And if anyone has anything rude or nasty to say about it … just smile and them and show them what confidence looks like. Oh, and if you are feeling snarky like me some days you can tell them “Kiss the fattest part of my fat ass” and “shove your opinion of my body and me where the sun don’t shine!”
I love you all and I want you all to love yourselves, too. Believe me. There are way worse things then being fat. I know the MEDIA would have you believe otherwise.
