This is a note from one of my Facebook friends who lives in another state. Her name is Rebecca and she sent me this not privately after Dana passed away.
“Chrystal, I’m so sorry to hear about Dana passing. I have been so upset all day crying off and on. She was so beautiful and inspired so many people! Beyond people who personally knew her.
Until I met you all online , I always hid my body in long sleeves and full body covering. But my goodness, your beauties made me open up so much and always enjoyed seeing you all represent us plus size women so openly! I am over 6ft 2 and at my top weight weighed over 885 pounds! I have busted my butt to lose so much weight. I am at 550 now but so don’t look it at all.
I still am a bit shy but I show off my body . And that’s because you and Dana and the rest of the women gave me the strength!
Dana was so Damn Beautiful and reminded me a lot of who I used to be and trying to get back to.
Keep spreading the Love and know I was praying for her and you with every post and every single update you gave for her.”
Thank you for the note Rebecca. It means a lot to me and to her family. Dana was such an incredibly sassy and smart woman. We will never forget her and continue to honor her with memories like this. (This is the first blog I wrote about Dana’s cancer b.s. )
