Kixies! Cute name for an amazingly innovative product. I own a plus size lingerie store in San Jose and we have this discussion daily. Almost every single one of our customers wants to know if we carry thigh highs for thick thighs and if we know of a way to keep them from rolling down. WE DO NOW!
My whole life I wanted to wear thigh highs and cute stockings. But, I have been a curvy person most of my life and like all fat women, I could never wear thigh highs because they would dig into my chub and make a big indent. (Which I did not think looked cute.) And, then if I tried to wear them out or wear them having some naughty fun – they would summarily roll down and look like loose, baggy stockings. (Especially in the back.) Not cute. Not sexy.

Thanks to my friend Tamara and her Diva Marathon, I was introduced to Samantha, owner of Kixies Thigh Highs. Samantha sent me some samples and my Curvy Girl helper Jeanine and I tried them and we both fell in love. I loved them so much that I wrote a blog about them and took pics of my own thighs with them on. I have to be VERY inspired to show you a photograph of my inner thighs!
Kixies has 6 different styles and 4 different sizes. At our store, we are only stocking the sizes C and D. We also have a sample you can try on to see if it works on your thighs and are long enough for your leg. And test out how they stay up and don’t dig into your thighs!
The size D is supposed to work with women who are 5’5″ to 6’0 tall and can weigh from 165 lbs to 250 lbs. But, I have to tell you. We found the “D” size fits much larger women and we measured a few different thighs and they fit one woman with 26″ thighs. Another woman with 32″ thighs and one other woman with 36″ thighs. We also noticed that their thigh highs were made to last. They feel like they will hold up to a lot wears and a lot of washes, too.
